David Yarbrough CEO Biggs Gridley Memorial Hospital:  On June 10, 2009, Biggs-Gridley Memorial Hospital (BGMH) celebrated its Sixtieth (60th) year of providing care and service to our community. I am honored to take this time to reflect on the amazing human spirit that founded this hospital, as well as the unusual willingness of the special communities served to actively support the hospital’s continued operation.

The recent challenges, successfully addressed by all of you, help to illustrate that BGMH is OUR hospital. Your friends and neighbors work here, their children are in school with your children, and we volunteer and serve together on many committees and service projects that keep our communities strong. Your incredible support of the hospital, exemplified by the success of Measure C and Save Our Hospital Campaigns, is recognized and your hospital staff wants you to know that this hospital exists for the people that live and work here. Taking care of you is our number one priority.

Our physicians and staff strive to give you the best patient care possible with compassion, generosity of spirit and kindness. The roots of our hospital extend deep into the history of the Biggs, Gridley, Richvale and Live Oak communities. Our vigilance, careful management, ongoing education, continual process improvement and overall future is intrinsically linked to our recognition we simply cannot survive without your commitment to the facilities’ continued operation. Your commitment to us is the basis of our belief in a bright future. I am honored to be a part of this great community and feel so fortunate to work with some of the most dedicated and hard working professionals in the healthcare industry. Together, as family and friends, let's celebrate the first 60 years of our providing healthcare and service to our communities. Together, let’s continue to exhibit the special human spirit that helped to create this facility in our plans and efforts for the Next 60 Years.

I hope you will find this new website to be a helpful resource. Keep in mind, it is new, and as such is a work in progress.
